New Delta Music is a Limited Liability Company owned and operated by Scott Welton, a lifelong musician and retired journalist/editor for a daily newspaper.

Officially formed on March 13, 2020, after informally doing a few music business things under the name since the end of 2019, New Delta Music is based in Sikeston, Missouri, a few hours’ drive from Nashville, Tenn., and St. Louis, Missouri.

Scott first started playing music outside the home as a teenaged electric guitar player in Orange County, California, before moving with his family to St. Louis’ West County where he soon discovered musicians in “flyover country” took their music very seriously.

A couple of decades in the Missouri Bootheel has only reinforced his opinion that the Mississippi’s Upper Delta area is not only great for growing crops but seems fertile ground for producing talented and dedicated musicians and songwriters.
