New Delta Music was founded to source, produce and promote the sounds of the Upper Mississippi River Delta from the region’s burgeoning artists’ community, and to deliver their authenticity to markets across the United States.
Musicians and songwriters have long been synonymous with the Clarksdale region’s Delta Blues. However, the Upper Delta, with its vast educational resources and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, has attracted and produced artists who similarly chronicle their existence and emotions through song. This message from America’s Heartland resonates beyond these sea-level confines to an increasingly larger audience in both rural and urban America. New Delta Music identifies with these artists and the perpetual authenticity they connect to this shared human experience.
Uniting artists who make music from the heart with consumers both within and beyond the Heartland will provide the Upper Delta artists’ community with the recognition and appreciation it deserves. The Mission of New Delta Music is to provide a foundation for the region’s musicians to reach the growing audience, and growing markets, for their artwork.
